Chris and I bought our first home last year! We were very lucky in this crazy Seattle market to have an offer accepted and we could not be more in love with our home. With summer FINALLY here we have been wanting to update our space but cannot decide on a look for our backyard retreat. So while I wish Joanna Gaines would magically appear and design the perfect space, for now I will turn to Pinterest and drum up some ideas instead.
Although I am typically drawn to a neutral pallet inside our home I think a fun pop of color brings some fun to your outdoor space. This beautiful space by was designed by Dabito from Old Brand New, he shares on his blog how he achieved those beautiful DIY blue tiles..
Clean simplistic lines with full foliage of greenery truly en-captures the aesthetic and feel our main design will be around. We love this simplistic outdoor space and oversized pavers with mid century chairs! The pavers are perfect way to create an inexpensive patio with modern look if you don’t want a full slab of cement. I’ve currently been on the hunt for some of our own to add in our space.
I am a sucker for bistro lights, I mean comeon it’s like Christmas year round! They add an ambience during those warm summer nights in your outdoor space. I also love the way they utilized tree stubs as a furniture piece! Such a unique and inexpensive way to add seating to your outdoor space.
I love the way they used AstroTurf to add some greenery to their outdoor space. It’s perfect for those who want a low maintenance option in place of a yard! Plus this live edge dining table has me drooling over this pretty outdoor oasis.
Hammocks have been revamped and are making a comeback in the outdoor space. I love the macrame and bohemian feel of this one above. It has me wanting to lounge out with a glass of rose under the summer sun.
