Work. Play. Date: The Slip Dress

When I wrote the first Work. Play. Date post I received a lot of great feedback and had so much fun styling one piece three different ways I thought I would make this a regular series for blog posts! Like many of you, I cannot afford to purchase a new outfit for every day of the week so being able to utilize key pieces in my wardrobe multiple ways is a must for me and my budget!

Today’s post is styling a slip dress. This one from Topshop is a pretty cream color that made it easy to layer in a few different ways!

Work: I styled this by putting a turtleneck over the slip dress making it seem as if the piece was a skirt. I paired this with heels, but would also be cute with mules and of course my big bag to carry everything in to finish this look off! You can also rock this turtleneck under the dress for an added layer and different look!

Play: I wanted this dress to feel casual and dressy at the same time! I styled it by rocking it with sneakers and a light color suede jacket and tan purse to tie the whole look together. Perfect to take you from brunching with your besties to running errands around the city! Bonus way to style it: tie your favorite tee over the top and pair it with cute flats or sandals!

Date: For this last look I wanted to dress it up for date night. This outfit can easily be transitioned from work or play by swapping out your top and shoes for a dark leather jacket, heels and clutch!

I hope you enjoyed this series of Work. Play. Date! Stay tuned for the next one! If you have any suggestions or would like to know how to style something specific leave a comment below or shoot us a DM on Instagram!
