Our dream wedding wouldn’t have been complete without the amazing team behind me. I had the vision and each vendor helped me execute that vision into real life. One thing people ask me is if I hired a coordinator, and I did not. Not that I don’t think it would have been helpful because I know it would have but my personality is the kind that jumps in with both feet when I have something exciting going for me and it’s hard for me to allow other people to help. Not to mention I have been planning my wedding since I was twelve so there wasn’t a whole lot I needed help with besides picking the best vendors to help make my dreams a reality. I love our team! Most became like family and I couldn’t recommend them enough.
Photography: We found our photographer duo Lauren and Mark (of Lauren Neely Photo) on Instagram and snagged them immediately when we found that they had our date available. What we loved about Lauren is that she has such an adventurous spirit and really tries to get to know you and capture not only beautiful photos for you but for photos that showcase your relationship. She even met us at 5 am on a freezing morning in November to hike 2 miles to a ridge to take our engagement photos. Talk about dedication to her work and clients. When it came to our wedding day she went above and beyond to capture photos behind the scenes so that we would see our guests enjoying themselves without us, raw moments with our families and all the details that I didn’t get to pay attention to because our wedding day was a blur. Looking at our photos again brought me back to our special day and made me feel all the feels and I can’t thank Lauren and Mark enough for that.
Floral: Florals for the wedding was right up there with photography and videography for me. Our venue was already so beautiful but I wanted to make it extra romantic and feel as fresh and as modern as possible. Kelsey from Wandering Blooms was an easy choice. Once you see her work you will understand why and not to mention she is hands down the sweetest. She listened to my vision, created vision boards and showed me things that I didn’t know I wanted but then had to have after she showed me. She was also great about keeping me in the budget which can be hard with florals and was accommodating when we had to make changes. We used a lot of eucalyptus and Italian ruscus to create a natural look, luxurious white blooms such as ranunculus, dahlias, and garden roses and lastly pampas grass for texture. I LOVE Pampas grass and I am so happy we decided to use it. I had been saving some from our neighborhood all year leading up and it really added great texture to the florals.
Venue: We always knew we wanted to get married in Chelan and as two kids growing up on opposite sides of the state it was the perfect meeting spot for both our families to enjoy the weekend. If you don’t know much about Chelan than picture a small lake town surrounded by orchards and vineyards. Karma Vineyards was our venue of choice because of how diverse the grounds are AND how amazing the food and wine are. Our ceremony site was perched upon a hill overlooking the lake only accessible by an old trolley which was really fun for our guests. After the ceremony, everyone was shuttled back down to have dinner nestled in between the vines. And last but not least dancing and dessert were inside the wine cellar cave that kept things intimate and so much fun! We couldn’t recommend our venue more and all our guests can agree it was a spectacular place to get married and enjoy the weekend with our families.
Videography: We used Your Story by Max for all our video needs and from never meeting him in person until our wedding day he completely exceeded our expectations. He took drone footage and numerous hours of video that we will cherish for years to come. He even gave us a little sneak peek teaser video a week after our wedding that we absolutely love! See Below. We are still waiting on our other videos but those take time! So check back for more footage from our big day.
Printing: When decided who to go with for Save the dates, Invites and basically any paper product needed for the wedding I knew I had to have Minted. We have used Minted in the past so I knew the quality was amazing and we especially love the free address printing, because when you invite 200+ people to your wedding you don’t want to handwrite all those addresses. Minted has THE BEST selection of paper products and their designers really work with you to create something unique and cohesive. You can find our Save the Dates HERE, Invite Suite HERE and I used other designs when it came to our menus and programs but worked with the minted designers to make them fit with our color scheme.
Signage: All our wedding signs from our bar menu to our table numbers came from the talented team over at Rich Design Co. I love the modern design of acrylic and unlike other places where the verbiage is hand-painted Rich Design uses vinyl that looks like it was hand-drawn but is way more durable, especially if you have to travel or move your signs around during any point. They had so many options to choose from when it came to font and design scheme and they also offer different vinyl colors. We went with all white to keep in theme with our classic modern design but adding color would also be fun!
DJ: We used Jed Gossman of JMG entertainment for our DJ services. He is local to Wenatchee which is about 30 minutes outside of Chelan. We LOVED him. He coordinated the wedding, kept everything on time, had great music choices and his set up was beautiful! We also used him for our photo booth and the line for that was long all night long. Before meeting Jed we had never seen a mirror photo booth but it was so much fun for our guests and super interactive.
I know I am biased but really believe that our wedding was nothing short of amazing. Each vendor played a HUGE role in making our day so perfect and we will be forever grateful for all their hard work. I wish we could go back and do it all over again.
