Weekend Trip To Vancouver

Video produced by Alexa Suter at Studio Media

With our busy schedules, it’s hard to find time to spend the weekend together just us, but when The Marriot Richmond reached out we knew we had to jump on the opportunity and take the super easy drive up to Vancouver to see what the hotel had to offer and to enjoy each others company. The drive from Seattle is VERY easy. Basically a straight shot North for 3 hours and you are there! It gave us much needed time to chat, sing our hearts out and really just enjoy some girl time before the weekend of fun started. What we love about the Richmond location is that it is close to nearly everything. Across the street is the mall, there is a tram close by that takes you into Vancouver and we found a fun little coastal town just minutes from the hotel that really transported us into a different place.

The hotel amenities are also a HUGE plus. Not only is the property centrally located but the inside of the hotel is made so that if you don’t have to leave, you won’t want to. Clean rooms, cozy beds, TV with Netflix are just a few of our favorite parts about our stay. Oh well, that and the room service of course! The hotel restaurant 75 West Coast Grill is honestly amazing. We highly recommend the pancakes and benedict! We had in-room dining for breakfast one day and also another night for dinner and can’t say enough good things about the food.

One thing to note as well is the proximity to the airport. BUT with it being so close to the airport we didn’t once hear an airplane unless we were outside but even at that, didn’t feel like we were in direct flight paths. The hotel also offers a Park and Go package which is a great deal! To make travel more simple and to avoid the hassle of rushing to your travel point and paying expensive parking fees when you book their Park and Go package. Stay with the hotel the night before your next trip and enjoy complimentary or discounted parking, plus transportation to your travel point.

With endless things to do in the Richmond and Vancouver area, Marriott YVR should be on your list of places to stay. We loved the dining, proximity to the mall and how easy it was to make our way to Vancouver to enjoy a fun day in the city.
