Nestled in the heart of the city surrounded by some of the best restaurants and close to some top tourist stops in Boston lies The Godfrey Hotel. A modern picturesque hotel with one of the best restaurants in the city, delicious coffee shop and craft cocktails all on site. Windows surrounded our corner room that brought in endless sunshine and city views, the perfect setting to watch their first snowfall. We had the opportunity to partner with The Godfrey Hotel during our stay and I wanted to share with you my review of this fabulous hotel.
On the first night there we were totally jet lagged and took full advantage of the room. Even in the morning we had a hard time muscling our way to get out of our comfortable bed and once we did we ended up downstairs grabbing coffee and fresh pastries at George Howell. After some fuel we ventured out for the day and walked part of the freedom trail which started only a couple of blocks from the hotel. Of course on our way we hit a few stores, snapped a few shots and found warmth with a warm cocktail at a bar near by. We eventually ventured back to the hotel and grabbed dinner at their restaurant Ruka onsite. I absolutely recommend it! I’m still dreaming about their lobster ceviche. We ended the night picking up some sweets nearby at the local market and cuddled up in bed with a movie on tv.
We woke up the following morning to snow falling among the buildings and decided to get cozy in our robes after we grabbed some fresh coffee and pastries from George Howell to watch the flurries surround us before getting ready for a late brunch with friends. Not far from the hotel is Newbury street, packed with restaurants and shops where we ended up at brunch catching up with some old friends. My gracious husband was so patient as we spent the day trekking through snow, snapping photos of the brownstones and shopping for the perfect faux fur coat. Bribed with oysters and a lobster roll we ended up eating dinner at B&G Oysters a short uber ride from our hotel. After dinner we decided to grab a couple of drinks at the hotel lobby bar, carefully crafted by the bartender (some even involving fire!). It was the perfect way to end our trip out to Boston.
Thank you Godfrey Hotel for the amazing trip to Boston. We will surely be back soon!
